Data Saving Mode Description and Privacy Policy
Samsung's proxy servers fetch and compress or optimize web content requested by your applications (including videos), then deliver the smaller-sized content package back to your device. The servers log the URLs of these requests, not the content.
The Data Saving Mode may also log how you use your device, including randomly generated unique identifiers, IP address, device information such as device manufacturer and model information, information about network connection and mobile carrier, the type of network you use to access web content, how much data you use, and the URLs you visit. We use this data to debug the Data Saving Mode and to improve the user experience. This service contains a unique ID that is linked to your device. We may use this ID to collect how often you use the service. We retain the above information only to the extent to fulfill the purposes of data collection. In case we want to use it further, such as to improve the service quality or debug, we do so only when the data is aggregated and anonymized.
If your Data Saving Mode crashes, we collect a log that includes some information about the malfunction, version of your service, your operating system, the device you use and some memory data. We collect this data with the sole purpose of improving our products and services.
